command line tool for linux(RPI)

I use command line tool to get status/devices to run several scripts in another program (MLServer ,http://www.cinemarsolutions.com/) in Windows an this works ok. I now testing running SwitchKing server on a Rasperry Pi and it works ok so far but if I understand it right,the command line tool isn't avaliable running in a Pi. Is there a way to do a similar task on the Pi? That is _ reading devices connected/status of thoose devices and send to another program?

Any tips/help appreciated
